Converse Chuck Taylor Fear of God "Cream"
The Fear of God x Converse Chuck 70 Hi Ivory is part of the ongoing collaborative capsule between Jerry Lorenzo’s ESSENTIALS line and the heritage footwear label Converse. The pair have been working together since the start of Lorenzo’s relationship with Nike, which only makes sense considering they’re Converse’s sister brand.
The designer rejuvenates the iconic silhouette by switching up a legendary colour scheme, dressing the uppers in an ultra-clean ivory get-up and painting the details in a stealthy black. This is a twist on the classic Chuck 70 colourway, and perfectly demonstrates Fear of God’s stripped-back high-end aesthetic.
An additional feature worth noting is the canvas lace loop located on the heels that allows for the shoes to be laced around the ankle in conventional high-end styling. Branding is subtle with Jerry’s ESSENTIALS logo embossed onto the left heel, while Converse’s signature star logo resides in its usual location.
